I am writing this letter in support of Beth Pabst, candidate for St. Croix register of deeds. I recently received an e-mail, and I am sick at heart to think that in a county race that someone would stoop to dirty politics to try to dis-credit Beth’s credentials.
The e-mail stated that Beth has never had a CPA license. I know as a close friend that she does have a license and any one can check that at this Web site: www.boa.state.mn.us Go to CPA directory and enter Pabst.
Hopefully those who received this e-mail will not pass it on or share it with anyone as it is very untrue and hurtful.
I have known Beth for over 20 years. I knew her when she was going to college and working at the credit union to pay for her school. I knew her when she studied day and night for the CPA exam and when she passed it the first time (which is rarely done).
I knew her when she went to work for one of the big eight accounting firms and traveled extensively as an auditor for the company. So I do know a lot about Beth and the most important thing I know about Beth is her integrity, honesty and her passion to be register of deeds.
I support Beth as I know she has the knowledge, ambition and experience.
As the clerk for the town of Hammond, I have sent numerous people to Beth for assistance in her current role and have had them tell me that she was very helpful.
Beth and I have worked together on a number of civil organizations and she is always an asset and team player. Beth is willing to conquer most tasks with skill hard work and a smile. She is by all means a great person.
