Dear Editor,
I agree with Mr. Bonte’s Aug. 21 letter to the editor in backing Beth Pabst for county register of deeds office. We do need an effective change to that office.
I too was directed to another department in the Government Center when going to get information regarding my property. I too was redirected back to the register of deeds office to the original clerk I had talked with.
I again provided my information to the clerk and was told she could not locate the information I was requesting and couldn’t help me.
The following morning I returned to the office at 8 a.m. and gave the young clerk at the desk my information and she quickly opened a book and provided me with the necessary documents to accomplish my task. My thought was there was something wrong with the way that office is run if I have to make multiple trips to get a knowledgeable person to assist me at the desk.
I have known Beth Pabst for a number of years and trust that she is capable to run the register of deeds office efficiently and can effectively handle all personnel problems that may arise. She has great skill sets learned from her schooling and college education and also on-the-job training and hands-on from work in that office for these past years.
I will “pick Beth Pabst” for the register of deeds office position at the Sep. 9 primary election.
